Success grew even more when the Koegnigsegg Agera won the BBC Top Gear Hypercar of the Year award in the last quarter of 2010.
Koegnigsegg’s aim did not only focus on creating the best sports cars in the world, but they also did their part in caring for the environment. They involved themselves in the development of green technology programs by developing flexfuel cars, mainly on their CCXR and Agera models.
Apart from this, they also took part on developing plug-in electric car systems and also reciprocating engine technologies.
One thing that sets Koegnigsegg aparts from its competitors is that they don’t rely on subcontractors for their engines and other car components. They all design and produce their main systems, subsystems and components in-house to make sure that they reach their own level of quality standards.
