A Beautiful History
Alpine is actually called the Société des Automobiles Alpine SAS. Established way back in 1955, this racing car manufacturer has close ties with another car brand giant – Renault.
Its founder, Jean Rédélé, had a keen eye on setting up and improving race cars. Seeing how impressive the Renault 4CVs were, he made his own modifications on these cars, efficiently making his own name by winning several major races with his creations.
And so did Rédélé decided to create his own brand. Named Alpine in response to his massive success in the Coupe des Alpes races, his cars paved the way on fast rides and that unique French motoring style!
